Despite the obvious visual drama of this car the TT is a pretty easy car to drive. Its compact dimensions mean it never feels cumbersome and the clutch and gearchange are light and positive. If you drive it sensibly it is incredibly smooth and quiet. There is plenty of power on tap from low revs, which makes it an altogether more relaxing car to drive than its rivals. However, if you decide to press the loud pedal down a little further the engine will change character as the boost increases and as the revs rise this amazing engine will show you its true potential. 0-60mph in this car is dealt with in just over 6 seconds, and should you wish to press on it will top 151 mph!! Unlike its rivals the TT feeds all that power through all 4 wheels so the grip is unbelievably good, even on a wet surface. The result of all this is a seriously fast, seriously fun sports coupe. If you have never driven a TT before you will be astonished by the level of grip and composure this car offers. I love the feel-good factor and the feeling of solidity and safety that you only get when driving a quality car like this TT. With just 118k miles on a car famed for its quality and longevity I was expecting great things from our TT and I was not disappointed in any aspect of the drive. The whole car still feels as new with superb road-holding and comfort. At motorway speeds the TT comes into its stride, cruising excellently with a tall 6th gear and cruise control which is an unusual and desirable option fitted to this car. In keeping with the TT's excellent build quality, there virtually no wind or engine noise.
