I amselling my Audi S3 in rare Imola Yellow and SUNROOF plus sought after alumirror covers. Open to offers, just make one.
Futureclassic vehicle - one of the last S3s made. Before you read any further PLEASE NOTE it is a Cat D due to paneldamage sustained in 2011. I don't have any further info but I suspect thedriver door was affected because it is not aligned quite right, it hasscratched the sill protector and requires a firm motion to close it properly. Also there has at some point been a replacement front bumper as a differentpaint colour is visible in two VERY SMALL areas. It hasn't put me off to be honest and hasbeen successfully MOTd every year since then which can be seen on the DVLA website.
The caroverall looks really nice and it really is a headturner and draws attentionwherever I drive it. It hasthe usual S3 refinements and a black Recaro leather interior (not heated) whichlooks really nice and is very comfortable!A couple of tiny nicks in thepassenger seat, nothing major. When I picked the car up I was pleasantlysurprised at the condition of the seats as I thought they would be worn. Thepiano black gloss trim is all intact and looks amazing. All electrics work asthey should - electric mirrors fine, electric seats fine, glovebox hinge intactunlike many others!
There is climate control as standard, needs a re-gas I think. Sunroof opens and closes fine and there are no leaks. Cluster unit works fineand is not pixellated like many of the same era! Pullswell in every gear from what I can tell, and clutch seems fine also.
However, Inote a judder at very low speeds and when maneuvering but fine if you give it abit of gas! Could be something or nothing. I have been advised by the previous owner that the car hasnot been mapped. Theturbo spools up and propels you forward quite happily so Ireckon it is ok. I just don't have the time to have jobs like this done. Startsfirst time, every time with no delay - a new started motor was fitted byprevious owner within last couple of years.. Fan comes on and off but seems ok if the air con is on, but car maintains ahealthy temperature so no issues there. I think it is just a quirk, themechanic is not concerned as the engine temperature is fine, no overheating issues. New setof black and yellow aftermarket floor mats which clip onto the pegs and looksmart. Parcel shelf is in place and clips all intact. Spare, space-saving wheeland tool kit in situ. Locking wheel nut key included. There are wind reflectorsfitted which look really nice and give the car a unique look. The spoiler hasbeen wrapped in black vinyl or something. I have fitted a new set of metalpressed reg plates which look very smart.Wheelsare the standard 17 S3 alloys and have been recently refurbished and lookgood with a darker paint, though the centre-caps are slightly worn so being picky would benefit from a repaint. Also there is some very minor curbing but they still look great and are so clean. The calipers have been painted red by a previous owner.
StandardAudi Concert Stereo which works fine. Smallstone chip to upper windscreen - I have had it checked out of and it is NOT an MOT failure and has actually been filled previously.Logbook is in my possession. Original Audi folderwith documentation included. Workcarried out: - Diagnostics - RECEIPT - Brake lines replaced at great expense to me by Audi specialist - 03/19 RECEIPT - Newhorn as it was weak -03/19 RECEIPT - 2 x newrear tyres - 03/19RECEIPT - ABS wiring and sensor 01/04/19 RECEIPT -MAJOR service as in everything!
01/04/19 -RECEIPT - Sills welded 01/04/2019- RECEIPT - Haldex service!!! 01/04/19 Not cheap but done with RECEIPT - Timingbelt and water pump by previous owner at around 80K - RECEIPT - Startermotor by previous owner - RECEIPT - I havebeen advised gearbox swapped for another one from an S3 with 80K on it but Ihave no proof of this. Lots ofreceipts for work carried out. Partservice history then some receipts.
The car has obviously been servicedotherwise it would have gone to car heaven by now and certainly be in worsenick than it is now! I suspect it has been done judging by the receipts but thebook has not been stamped. Advisorynotices on MOT: -ADVISORY - Corrosion beneath car but not significant enough to compromisestructural rigidity. Corrosion to brake and suspension components (hence brake lines replaced).
Brakediscs worn, pitted or scored but not seriously weakened - Brakepads wearing thin - There is 4,000 miles left in them according my mechanic. I don't do that much in one year! Workrequired - Alarmdoes not engage - mechanic suspects it is because of the door misalignment butnot certain until that issue is sorted. Someonehas worn a couple of holes in the driver footwell carpet by not using a mat soyou may want to replace the carpet or just keep a mat down like I have done. Nothing serious, though the soundproofing is visible in these areas.
Mymechanic has identified a slight oil leak underneath the car, nothing that drips, just evident on some of the underside components. It is from the Rocker Gasket but is only a'sweat' and not serious. BODYWORK The bodyworkoverall is good for a car of this age, with minor, age-related marks and the oddtouch-up to the front bumper. However, at some point probably when it was made Cat D some spoon hadthe entire car resprayed but did not remove the trims before he did and did notprep the replacement bumper and so a close inspection makes it obvious thatthis is the case.
The paintwork on the lower right under sill is a bit naff but easilysorted and not noticeable unless you are looking. My original plan was to get the car mechanicallysound in the first year and then a full, glass-out respray the following year.
Anyway, Ihave told you all I know about the car, I like it, everyone who sees it likesit. My brother describes it as a 90s race car from its interior and feel. I know what he means as it is pretty amazing with its Recaros and power. It isa lovely car, ideally needs a respray if like me you are extremely picky!
I cannot be held responsible for issues that manifest after the car hasbeen taken away. Oh, andno test pilots or tyre-kickers.Cash on collection or bank transfer please.
